Jingal is a registered Psychologist and Animal-Assisted Therapist. She has two fully trained and qualified therapy dogs that support her clients during sessions.
Jingal has a special interest in treating complex trauma as well as single incident PTSD with experience helping Workcover and DVA clients on these presentations. Her therapy dogs are generally involved in sessions because they bring an element of playfulness to a difficult time, help lower stress, and increase clients’ engagement in therapy to provide better treatment outcomes by applying psychological strategies in novel ways.
Jingal utilises strategies from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and Animal-Assisted approaches. She is able to provide EMDR which is known to have considerably better treatment outcomes than traditional trauma approaches. Jingal is also experienced in providing a variety of psychological assessments including intelligence, cognitive, behavioural, and personality tests.
